Who is the Demiurge?

Greetings, fellow explorers.

The demiurge is a concept that originated in ancient philosophy, particularly in Gnosticism and Neoplatonism. In Gnosticism, the demiurge is seen as a lesser deity, or a false god, who created the physical world, and is often associated with materialism, ego, and ignorance. The demiurge is believed to be a descendant of the true Creator, but ultimately separated itself from the unified realm of divine oneness (otherwise known as the pleroma) in order to become its own creator.

In Neoplatonism, the demiurge is seen as a creative force or principle who emanates from the ultimate reality (the Creator) and who shapes the material world. The term was first used by Plato to describe a craftsman-like figure responsible for the fashioning and maintenance of the physical universe. In modern times, many mystics say that the demiurge created our world through the use of computer programs and artificial intelligence beyond our level of comprehension. And yet, the exact nature and role of the demiurge varies greatly among different philosophical and occult traditions.

Many believe that the demiurge seeks to trap the souls of mankind within a matrix of grand illusions, in order to preserve its own false sense of godhood. Others believe it is a metaphor for the ego, and humanity’s sense of self-importance.

Remember, fellow explorers, this article is designed to provide a brief, introductory understanding of the demiurge. It is by no means a complete description. You are encouraged to pursue this topic more deeply in order to gain a greater awareness of who the demiurge truly is, and how they function.

In our universe, we must discover and create our own version of the truth in order to further our personal, spiritual evolution. Do not take these words for gospel. Do not cling to the advice of so-called masters or gurus. In a world of unlimited information, we must consume responsibly, while staying open-minded. If something resonates with your spirit, consider that it may contain something valid, useful, or eye-opening. Try, if you can, to relieve yourself of dogma. In the end, our reality is but a thought in the mind of the Creator, and should not be taken seriously to the point of suffering.

Stay curious,

Serpent Blak
